Making a Marketing Calendar: Your Dangerous Business Planning Tool


One thing that kept being made for me when I used to be teaching at a recent event was that a so many of manage overwhelmed with your marketing; not so much via a list building or connecting with potential customers, but your actual submitting planning.

The busier you see in your business the harder it becomes to keep regulation on things. Just part of their issues that cropped up for our event I was at heart were:

  • You're being encouraged to speak at events or telesummits and know how this matches your overall marketing think.


  • You want to launch a new product or program but is definately not sure how the plethora of moving pieces fit collectively.


  • You want to have a series of list generating events, but are not as expected how to map all of these out so that they don't conflict in unison.

For all of those individuals scenarios there's one clean solution... create a direct exposure calendar.

A marketing calendar is one of powerful business planning electric, and an essential one for your requirements if it's to become adults and flourish. With an advertising and marketing calendar, you can see right away:

  • Upcoming promotions that that's prepare for.


  • If any of your promotions conflict or overlap at once.


  • If you can take on that offer to speak through a telesummit or event (and get the chance promote it too).


  • Whether why don'tyou move things around a little in order to permit an unexpected opportunity.


  • What you need to be doing and by in the event that.

Today I thought I'd share with you a really simple method to create your own promotion calendar.

The Simple Marketing Calendar

You simply want a calendar, solely advertisement, to lay it all the way on. And one of my best tools for doing this has Google calendars. It's easy to have; it's easy to routine things around; and it's simple to overlay it with your family business calendar. Also, as Google calendars sync in to the smart phone (and i phone too, I believe), you always have instant, up-to-date access.

If a Google calendar's not your look, you can also install a dry-wipe planner from your neighborhood office supplies store, and hang it in your business office. The dry wipe enterprize model means that it's easy for you to move things around without becoming too messy. Post-It notes also work well too!

Whichever method you choose (and which you have your own preference) creating marketing calendar is essential to the achievements of your business... and your time and sanity!
